What this GPT does

Takes an existing piece of content - a blog post, service page, or landing page - and optimises it for a target keyword. Input the content and the keyword, and it outputs specific recommendations: title tag, meta description, H1, H2 structure, keyword placement, internal linking opportunities, and word count assessment.

On-page SEO: what actually moves rankings

The fundamentals haven't changed, but their relative weight has. Keyword in the title tag and H1: still essential. Keyword in the first 100 words: still a strong signal. But the bigger driver of rankings in 2025 is content depth and relevance - does the page actually answer what the user is looking for, better than the alternatives?

A page with the keyword in all the right places but thin content will lose to a page with slightly less precise keyword placement but genuinely comprehensive, useful content. Optimise for the reader first, then optimise for the algorithm.

The quick wins to check first

Before deep content optimisation, check these: Is the target keyword in the page title? In the H1? In the meta description? Does the page have at least one internal link to it from a relevant page? Does the page link out to at least one authoritative external source? Are images compressed and do they have descriptive alt text? These basics are worth auditing before anything more complex.
